Specific Heat Capacity

 

Specific heat capacities are SPECIFIC to certain types of substances. If you have something that is changing temperature you have a specific heat capacity measured in J/gºC. However, if something is not changing temperature (freezing/boiling point or on fire) then you have units measured in J/g (or J/mol).
